The synergies are given through the complementary effects working together in a team of social and natural scientists. While ZALF provides research expertise in agricultural economics, knowledge and innovation management, adoption and diffusion studies as well as participatory social and action research, UE has a long-standing experience on CA research and development in Europe and Africa. KARI is a premier national agricultural research institute with mandate to conduct research in all agricultural commodities and across all agro-ecological zones that represent Africa’s climatic conditions. ACT is a pan-African NGO bringing together stakeholders and players interested and committed to enhancing the development and adoption of CA in Africa through sharing knowledge and information. UPB / IDR is the main higher education institution specialized in the training of agronomists and rural development officers in Burkina Faso. The CDR-BOKU conducts research and training in applied development research in the field of natural resource management. Analyzing and facilitating innovation in complex system settings is the core competence of the CDR-BOKU. By pulling together various disciplines and benefiting from the arising synergies, the project will in effect confirm one of the call’s hypotheses which state that “answers to the present societal challenges are likely to be found at the intersection between scientific domains rather than within one given body of knowledge”.

BMBF2/ERANET INCAA

2016 Landnutzungskonflikte und Governance

African Conservation Tillage Network

Kenya Agricultural Research Institute

Universidade Évora , Instituto de Ciências Agrárias e Ambientais Mediterrânicas

Universität für Bodenkultur Wien, Centre for Development Research
