On 4 May 2022, the second webinar of the Bayer-funded project "Enhancing Biodiversity and Resilience in Crop Production" took place – co-hosted by ZALF. This webinar focused on the collaboration among researchers, farmers and businesses. The recording of the webinar is now available online.

Fatima Lehnhardt (Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research - ZALF) presented results from a survey conducted with farmers from France and Germany. The results of the survey illustrate which measures for enhanced biodiversity farmers are implementing on their farms and what motivates them to adopt these measures. Maryam Yousefi from ETH Zürich presented an overview on effects of cover cropping on soil health and other ecosystem services, such as pest control or weed suppression, soil water content or CO2-emissions.

The presentations were followed by a panel debate between a farmer, researchers and experts from ZALF, ETH Zürich, Bayer Crop Science, the EC Joint Research Center and the Interessengemeinschaft gesunder Boden e.V.
