Es wird bereits seit 2005 in Kooperation von Instituten der Raumwissenschaftlichen Forschung der Leibniz Gemeinschaft und weiteren Partnern ausgerichtet und hat sich mittlerweile zu einer festen Institution entwickelt.<br>Im Jahr 2021 war das Thema "Raumentwicklung und Corona - eine Zwischenbilanz". An diesem erstmals virtuell abgehaltenen RWK nahmen 200 Personen teil, sowohl aus der Wissenschaft als auch aus der Praxis. Dieses Format soll auch weiterhin im Rahmen von Leibniz R fortgesetzt werden. Bisher handelte es sich um eine deutschsprachige Veranstaltung, die zwar ein hohes Ansehen unter Praktikern und Praktikerinnen genießt und daher ein wichtiges Transferformat darstellt, aber relativ wenig internationale Sichtbarkeit kannte.<br>Das Projekt dient dazu, diese Format einmalig im Jahr 2023 um einen Tag zu erweitern und durch gezielte Einladung international bekannten Persönlichkeiten aus Wissenschaft und Praxis, an Attraktivität und Reichweite zu gewinnen. Im Erfolgsfall sollen die gewonnenen Erfahrungen sowie erlangte Reputation dazu genutzt werden, das Format dauerhaft in ein internationales Event weiter zu entwickeln. Als Thema wird "Spatial Development and Digitalization" vorgesehen.</div> <div class="ExternalClassE224397BCD384D3EB4B00ABA30F8FABA">The Spatial Science Colloquium (RWK) is a biennial one-day conference format with the primary goal of promoting the dialogue between science and practice on current issues of spatial development policy. It has been organized since 2005 in cooperation with institutes of spatial science research of the Leibniz Association and other partners and has meanwhile become a permanent institution.<br>In 2021, the topic was "Spatial development and Corona - an interim assessment". This RWK, held virtually for the first time, was attended by 200 people, from both academia and practice. This format is to be continued within the framework of Leibniz R. So far, it has been a German-language event, which enjoys a high reputation among practitioners and therefore represents an important transfer format, but has known relatively little international visibility.<br>The project serves to extend this format once in 2023 by one day and to gain in attractiveness and reach by specifically inviting internationally known personalities from science and practice. In case of success, the experience gained as well as the reputation gained will be used to further develop the format into an international event on a permanent basis. The topic will be "Spatial Development and Digitalization".
