Dabei begleitet das TREES Projekt die Umsetzung der Aktivitäten von FLR-Durchführungsorganisationen in Äthiopien, Togo und Madagaskar zur Wiederherstellung waldreicher Landschaften und gute Regierungsführung im Waldsektor, um deren Umsetzung auf wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse zu stützen. Die Forschungsergebnisse sollen dazu beitragen, die für jedes Länderpaket entwickelten FLR-Praktiken unter Berücksichtigung der jeweiligen kontextspezifischen ökologischen, ökonomischen und sozialen Rahmenbedingungen wissenschaftlich zu untermauern. So trägt das Projekt zu fundierten Entscheidungen zugunsten einer erfolgreichen Erreichung der F4F Ziele bei.&#160;Das Projekt beinhaltet u.a. folgende Komponenten&#58;&#160;<div><ul><li>Untersuchung der Auswirkungen von Waldschutzmaßnahmen zur Bewältigung des Klimawandels und zur Verbesserung der Lebensgrundlage von Kleinbauern.</li><li>Durchführung von Kosten-Nutzen-Analysen verschiedener FLR-Optionen in den jeweiligen Projektgebieten zur Identifikation bestgeeigneter Optionen.</li><li>Identifizierung von Interventionspunkten, um marginalisierte Gruppen durch Waldschutz und Diversifizierung der Landwirtschaft zu stärken.</li><li>Erstellung von Ergebnisberichten in Form von Policy Briefs und wissenschaftlichen Publikationen sowie Wissenstransfer durch Konferenzvorträge, Workshops und Seminare in den Ländern des Gesamtprojekts sowie in Deutschland und international.<br></li></ul></div></div> <div class="ExternalClass7FC02F3E39184E75B3A8A78D5C0B0929">ZALF (WG SusLAND) conducts accompanying research on the implementation of the GIZ global project Forests for Future (F4F). In cooperation with implementing organizations of FLR activities in the tropics, TREES project accompanies the implementation of FLR activities for forest landscape restoration and good governance in Ethiopia, Togo and Madagascar. The research results will help to scientifically underpin the FLR practices developed for each country package, taking into account their context-specific ecological, economic, and social conditions. In this way, the project contributes to informed decision-making to contribute toward a successful achievement of the F4F goals.
