Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Remote Sensing for Agriculture
Künstliche Intelligenz Kompetenz in der Landwirtschaft (KIKompAg) is a multi-disciplinary project that aims to coordinate and advance the concept for the integration of multisource data, artificial intelligence and various simulation methods for the cross-scale monitoring of agricultural systems. One of the main focuses is on how AI applications and RS technology can be used in the agricultural sector.
This workshop will provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in applying DL techniques to address small data challenges in RS for agriculture. Participants will explore how data scarcity affects model performance, learn to apply advanced strategies such as cutting-edge SSL models (SimCLR, SimSiam, MoCo, etc.), and understand their effectiveness through case studies on crop classification using the Europe's Land Use-Land Cover Area Frame Survey (LUCAS) dataset as an example.
The workshop is designed to provide both conceptual understanding and technical skills to enable participants to implement innovative DL models that improve generalisation and performance in data sparse environments. We strongly recommend that you attend the hands-on session in person. Individual consultation after the workshop is welcome.
