Potenzial Dauerfeldversuche

Agricultural long-term field experiments (LTFEs) are an important basis for soil and agricultural sciences. A compilation of metadata and research data from LTFEs in Germany shall enhance networking and simplify the access to the experiments.

The joint analyses of LTFEs on different sites can broaden results. Therefore, LTFEs were classified and their distribution was compared to three site classifications: climatic water balance, Müncheberg Soil Quality Rating, and clay content. The results show that, in general, the LTFEs well represent the area shares of the site classification classes. This confirms the high potential of LTFE data for for joint analyses.
