Provisioning of Ecosystem Services in Agricultural Systems

The working group Provisioning of Ecosystem Services in Agricultural Systems (ProvESS) researches the influence of agronomic managements on ecosystem services (ESS) and biodiversity. We analyse the interaction among land use intensity and ESS. The research goal is to develop cropping system, that are locally adapted and site specific, so that ESS are enhanced. Field experiments will be conducted using ICT based (ICT: information and communication technology) and empirical methods to analyse the site dependency and influence of management practices as well as the trade-offs among the optimization option.​
