4th Status Seminar of the "Agricultural Systems of the Future

On September 26-27, 2023, the fourth status seminar of the BMBF funding line "Agricultural Systems of the Future" will take place. The focus this year is on innovation and transfer.

From September 26.-27. 2023, the status seminar of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" will take place at the Archenhold Observatory in Berlin. For two days, the eight consortia of the funding line and the coordinating office will present their project progress as well as activities of the technical communication, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the project management organization Jülich and an international review panel. The lectures will be complemented by poster presentations of the young scientists. A special focus this year is on the collaboration of the consortia for the development and implementation of new innovations and their transfer activities. Accordingly, Prof. Dr. Stefanie Molthagen-Schnöring (Professor of Business Communication and Vice President for Research and Transfer at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences) will open the status seminar as keynote speaker.

Stefanie Molthagen-Schnöring: "Transfer is a diverse field of activity. In particular, the field of business communication has become much more important in recent years and offers potential that science can tap into even more."

The closing of the status seminar is also the start of the conference "Agricutural Systems of the Future - Summit 2023," which is also hosted by the "Agricultural Systems of the Future" funding line.


About "Agricultural Systems of the Future"

"Agricultural Systems of the Future" is a funding line of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in which eight inter- and transdisciplinary consortia research and test innovative approaches for a sustainable agricultural economy. The coordinating office of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" is located at the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ), the Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) and the ILS ¬ Institute for Regional and Urban Development Research. Prof. Dr. Monika Schreiner (IGZ) and apl. Prof. Dr. Thomas Weith (ILS) head the coordination office.
