Einladung zur Diskussionsveranstaltung zu Mangelernährung

Welthungerhilfe and the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) invite you to participate in this side event on malnutrition as part of the Nutrition for Growth Summit 2021 on December 1st, at 12 PM CET.

Overall, more than 2.3 billion people or 30 percent of the global population lack year-round access to adequate food. Despite some improvements, overall progress is far too slow to achieve zero hunger by 2030. One way to address undernutrition is through more integrated, multisectoral systems approaches, including a smart mix of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions. However, implementing these models is often challenging, due to conflicts, capacity issues and financial constraints. Furthermore, malnutrition is highly complex and requires a tailored response. How the implementation of those integrated models can be achieved and sustained on a larger scale will be discussed and critically examined in this panel, along with an identification of key challenges and pathways to overcome them.

Wednesday, 1 December 2021, 12:00-13:30 CET via Zoom
