From 1st until 5th July ZALF participates in the European IFSA Symposium in Greece.
Under the motto “Farming System Assosciation Farming systems: facing uncertainties and enhancing opportunities” the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (Crete) invites experts from the industry and science to discuss, how more sustainable agricultural systems for the future can be designed and implemented.
As a ZALF subsidiary, agrathaer moderates the Monday session 2.8 “Farming system transitions to balance food production and sustainability: Perspectives from farm to landscape scale, actors and land use, drivers and constraints”, in which the outcomes of the research project VITAL are going to be presented and discussed. VITAL explores the possibilities of intensification of agricultural production through sustainable change of land use.
