Many ZALF data are generated on experimental plots in a few regions. These are increasingly being expanded into LivingLabs (Agroscapelab Quillow). These so-called ZALF Focus Areas are described as well as possible with metadata and their geodata and get published in the BonaRes repository.
This guarantees the fulfillment of the FAIR criteria and all scientists working in these areas can reference the site descriptions via Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and search for data in the Focus Areas in the future via spatial search. The principle of the ZALF Focus Areas is further divided into research sites, fields and, if required, experiments.Very recent is the publication of the ZALF Focus Area Paulinenaue (https://doi.org/10.4228/zalf-8cs3-y145).
