This year's TROPENTAG will take place in Berlin from September 20 to 22, 2023. The guiding theme is "Competing pathways for equitable food systems transformation: trade-offs and synergies". Registration is now open.
TROPENTAG 2023 invites a debate on competing pathways for food systems transformation, drawing on diverse perspectives, disciplines, and methodologies. Plenary discussions, thematic sessions, guided poster tours, and workshops will allow participants to discuss the benefits and costs of different pathways for food systems transformation and the trade-offs and synergies they offer to different stakeholders.
TROPENTAG is a development-oriented and interdisciplinary conference. It addresses issues of rural development, resource and environmental conservation, agricultural production, forestry, fisheries, food processing, and feeding a growing world population.
TROPENTAG 2023 is organized by the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) in cooperation with the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
