Flaggen Gruene Woche

The Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) will be present at the international agricultural fair Grüne Woche in Berlin from 17 to 26 January 2025. Visitors can find out more about agrivoltaics, sustainable peatland use and the monitoring of mosquitoes and biting midges. You will find us in Hall 23a: "Good Food. Strong country. Sustainable Agriculture" from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).

Explore agrivoltaics in the farming simulator

The SynAgri-PV project introduces itself and shows how photovoltaic systems can be integrated into agriculture. An interactive demonstrator, based on the popular computer game "Farming Simulator 2022", shows the benefits of agrivoltaics in a playful way. Get to know different types of systems and discuss their potential with researchers.

You will find us in Hall 23a (BMEL Hall) at stand A11.2.

Sustainable use of peatlands

The research project WetNetBB addresses the question of how to farm on peatlands in sustainable ways while preserving them as important ecosystems for climate, soil and water protection.

The project team presents an interactive exhibition that provides insights into the ecological functions of peatlands. Monitors and tablets are used to illustrate topics such as biodiversity and regional value creation.

We will be taking part in a panel discussion on 22nd January 2025 in Hall 23a.

You will find us in Hall 23a (BMEL Hall) at stand A6.

Monitoring mosquitoes and midges: Where do they live and how do they spread?

Together with the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute (FLI), we will provide information on the citizen science project Mosquito Atlas (mosquito monitoring) and the monitoring of biting midges. These projects investigate blood-sucking insects that can transmit diseases such as West Nile fever and bluetongue in Germany.

At the stand, you can learn more about the importance of this monitoring and how you can help researchers collect data.

On 21st January 2025 we will take part in a panel discussion in Hall 23a.

You will find us in Hall 23a (BMEL Hall) at stand L1.
