Almost 90 years of long-term experiments (LTEs) at the Research Station of Thyrow of the Humboldt University of Berlin (HU) serve as the foundation for a valuable dataset in the BonaRes Repository.
Since 1937, LTEs have been conducted in Thyrow to study agronomy in poor soils. The field D4 studies nutrient deficiency and is divided into two fields: D41 (since 1937 relatively unchanged) and D42 (since 1998 a continuous rye monoculture).
The ZALF research data management team is cooperating with the HU to enrich, transform and publish this LTE data with the help of their agronomic management logs.
A 25-year dataset from field D42 has now been secured in BonaRes and the metadata is already available. Starting in January 2028 the data will be released to the public.
Geodata and a location description have already been published in BonaRes.
The D42 dataset adds to the eleven LTE datasets already published in the BonaRes Repository.
