Expertise

  • Integrated Crop and Soil Management: Evaluating interactions between agronomic practices (including pesticide application and weed management) and soil health across diverse cropping systems with specialisation in cotton, rice, and wheat.
  • Advanced Soil Characterisation and Monitoring: Utilising high-precision instrumentation (e.g. EM31/38, Picarro, non-steady state flow chambers, LPSA) to analyse soil physical and chemical properties and monitor hydrological dynamics through sensors (TDR, Teros-12) and lysimeter.
  • Geospatial and computational Analysis: Leveraging ArcGIS Pro and R Studio to conduct spatial modelling and data analysis, bridging the gap between field-scale observation and landscape level agricultural insights.

Tasks

  • Evaluating the feasibility and structural requirements for integrating Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) frameworks within National Soil Monitoring Networks.
