Internationalen Grünlandkongress in Leipzig ausrichten.<br>Auf dem Kongress werden verschiedene Aspekte von natürlichem Grünland und unterschiedlich intensiv bewirtschaftetem Grünland, einschließlich des Anbaus und der Nutzung anderer Futterpflanzen, vorgestellt. Diskutiert werden die nachhaltige Entwicklung der landwirtschaftlichen Nahrungsmittelproduktion sowie die Vorteile der Grünlandbewirtschaftung für die Gesellschaft insgesamt, insbesondere für die Umwelt und die Erhaltung der Artenvielfalt.<br>Der Internationale Grünlandkongress (IGC) wurde zum ersten Mal 1927, ebenfalls in Leipzig, abgehalten. Seitdem bietet der IGC Wissenschaftlern, Studenten und Vertretern aus Industrie, Beratungsdiensten und landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben die Möglichkeit, alle drei bis fünf Jahre an verschiedenen Orten der Welt die neuesten Forschungsergebnisse und Erfahrungen über Grünland auszutauschen.<br>Im Jahr 1977, dem Jahr seines 50-jährigen Bestehens, fand der Internationale Grünlandkongress erneut in Leipzig statt. Sustainable development of on-farm food production will be discussed, as well as the benefits of grassland management for society as a whole, especially for the environment and the preservation of biodiversity.<br>The International Grassland Congress (IGC) was held for the first time in 1927, also in Leipzig. Since then, the IGC has given scientists, students and representatives from industry, extension services and farms the opportunity to exchange the latest research findings and experiences on grassland every three to five years at different locations around the world.<br>In 1977, the year of its 50th anniversary, the International Grassland Congress was again held in Leipzig.
