Ziel ist es, kranichbedingte Schäden systematisch zu erfassen und auf dieser Grundlage gemeinsam tragfähige, praxisnahe Lösungen zu entwickeln. Im Reallabor Havelland bringen wir Akteure aus Landwirtschaft und Naturschutz zusammen und etablieren gemeinsam mit landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben eine Managementgruppe, die Problemverständnis, Handlungsoptionen und Pilotansätze bündelt. Methodisch kombiniert das Vorhaben (1) eine gezielte Betriebsumfrage zum Ausmaß, zur räumlichen Verteilung und zur betriebswirtschaftlichen Einordnung der Schäden, (2) eine standardisierte Vor Ort Dokumentation von Schadereignissen auf Pilotbetrieben in der Projektregion sowie (3) das Testen von Vergrämungsmaßnahmen auf einem Pilotbetrieb. Die Ergebnisse werden in einem strukturierten Dialogprozess ausgewertet und in die Arbeit der Managementgruppe eingespeist. Zentrale Outputs sind ein Policy Brief für die Landesregierung Brandenburg sowie ein co-designtes Anschlussantragskonzept zur Verstetigung der Aktivitäten in der Region.<br></div> <div class="ExternalClass016B87C399FC4662B4F670F11A58C303">The project addresses the increasing crop losses caused by Eurasian cranes (Grus grus) in Brandenburg, Germany. The project aims to systematically document crane-related damage and, based on this evidence, co-develop practical and broadly supported solutions. Within the living lab Havelland, we bring together stakeholders from agriculture and nature conservation and, together with local farms, establish a management group to consolidate problem understanding, discuss response options, and initiate pilot actions. Methodologically, the project combines (1) a targeted farm survey to capture the extent, spatial distribution, and farm-level economic relevance of damages, (2) standardized on-site documentation of damage events on pilot farms in the project region, and (3) testing deterrence measures on one pilot farm. Findings are synthesized through a structured dialogue process and fed into the work of the management group.
