Open Science: PhD-Day at ZALF

Hauptinhalt der Seite

On July 23rd the PhD day at Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) offers the opportunity for students and young scientists to gather, exchange and discuss information on various research topics around sustainable land use and agricultural landscape research.

PhD students of ZALF will present their PhD projects in various formats. Instead of wordy lectures, modern forms of knowledge transfer are being used: a science slam, a poster competition and an elevator pitch are supposed to encourage participants to start a dialogue on scientific questions.

Later that day, participants can attend two ZALF discovery tours and visit several research areas and get detailed information on our methods and equipment used. An additional highlight is the key-note of the Open Science pioneer Jon Tennant.
