As part of the CliWaC project, we are looking for interested farmers to participate in two consecutive workshops on climate risks.
As scientists of the working group "Integrated Crop System Analysis" at ZALF, we have developed a model to estimate water availability and extreme weather events on cropping systems in Brandenburg. The results of the model can be used to draw conclusions about yield and the risk of yield losses. We have particularly focused on the areas in the Spree catchment, i.e. especially the districts of MOL and LOS.
We are very interested in receiving feedback on our model from you via your farms in the region and in incorporating your personal experiences into the model. At the same time, we believe that the model and the resulting knowledge will be of interest to you and your farm. The first workshop will take place in June in a small group of about 5 people and will last no longer than 2 hours.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in our Climate Risk Workshop, or if you have any questions, please contact Ms. Iqra Nowshari by email at iqra.nowshari@zalf.de or by phone at 0176 82989411.
