IMA representative at the German Higher Education and Science Forum Central Asia

The first “German Higher Education and Science Forum Central Asia” took place from 23-25 February 2026 at the headquarters of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in Halle (Saale). The Forum offered a platform for exchange on current developments, challenges and perspectives in scientific cooperation with the countries of Central Asia. Prof. Hamidov (IMA) attended the event and gave an “Impulsevortrag (Inspiration Speech)” entitled “Long-standing cooperation in agricultural research and promoting early-career researchers: Experiences from cooperation between Germany and Central Asia”. In his speech, he emphasized ZALF’s extensive experience in agricultural research in Central Asia, which began in 2012.

The event was organized by the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) and MLU Representative Office in Kazakhstan (CASIB). It was supported by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and the Project Management Organisation (PT-DLR).
