The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations in Uzbekistan has, upon the recommendation of the National Research University „Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME)” in Tashkent, awarded ZALF scientist Dr. Ahmad Hamidov as Professor of Melioration and Irrigated Agriculture.
Ahmad Hamidov received his PhD from Humboldt University Berlin in the field of institutional economics and has been working at ZALF in the working group Impact Assessment of Land Use Changes since 2016. His research focuses on the sustainability assessment of water-saving irrigation technologies, in particular with regard to governance and institutional economics issues. ZALF warmly congratulates Ahmad Hamidov for the honour and the scientific recognition associated with it.
