The appointment as adjunct professor recognizes Jörg Schaller's achievements in research and teaching in the field of silicon and its influence on soil properties and plant growth. This step strengthens the cooperation with the University of Giessen and its students. This is an enrichment for all sides, as the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Ecotrophology and Environmental Management in Giessen already conducts intensive research on silicon.
