On June 1st,
Johannes Schätzl, member of the Bundestag, met with Dr. Nikolai Svoboda to learn more about the
BonaRes repository and the interoperability of agricultural
reseach data.
Other topics of discussion addressed the exploitation of sensitive agricultural data and the development of the state
agricultural data platform. Mr. Schätzl is a strong proponent of FAIR data, saying, "Making research data freely available is a matter of the highest priority. Data curation and management requires a great investment of human and infrastructural resources. This should be taken into account both in the call for research projects and in their application and implementation."
