More than 100 participants gathered at the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt am Main on March 5–6, 2026, for the 2nd FAIRagro Community Summit. The focus was on showcasing the growing number of FAIRagro services designed to simplify the work of agricultural scientists in managing research data.
Over two days, practical tools and services for FAIR research data management were presented (live demos, posters, pitches) – from training and data pipelines to metadata quality. The third summit is planned for the end of 2027.
The Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) coordinates and designs the FAIRagro project, a consortium of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), which has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) since 2023. Prof. Frank Ewert is FAIRagro spokesperson.
