ZALF scientists Stefan Sieber and Frieder Graef are among the top 10 authors in the field of food security research, according to a review in the journal Land, and thus among the most influential scientists in the field.
This was the conclusion of a study published this year by Xie et al. entitled "Global Trends on Food Security Research: A Bibliometric Analysis." The ranking was based on the h-index, number of publications, total citations, and the year of first publication. Stefan Sieber has the largest number of publications in comparison, with 14 articles covering a wide range of topics related to food security, especially the performance of farmers in Tanzania.
