Operations management is the main operations function which directly serves the actual purpose of the ZALF - research and scientific work - by overseeing the entire institute in order to ensure that operations run smoothly.

Operations management at ZALF is made up of personnel, business and resource management.

It includes the Human Resources, Controlling, Finance and Accounting, Grant Management, Purchasing and Procurement as well as Facility Management departments which use a modular management software as well as the data processing centre.

Our objective is to perform science management, with the scientific work being coordinated without being restricted as a result. To us, science management forms the basis for understanding the respective other fields.
