Frieder Graef aus dem Institut für Landnutzungssysteme ist für die wissenschaftliche Koordination zuständig.<br>Trans-SEC zielt auf eine verbesserte Sicherung der Ernährungssituation der besonders gefährdeten ländlichen Bevölkerung in Tansania ab. Das Projekt identifiziert erfolgreiche wertsteigernde Strategien und Innovationen entlang regionaler Nahrungsmittelwertschöpfungsketten (NWK), testet und passt diese anschließend auf standortspezifische, nachhaltige Rahmenbedingungen an. Diese Konzepte werden gezielt mittels Verbreitungsstrategien für einen hohen nationalen Erreichungsgrad aufbereitet. Nach Projektlaufzeit werden die Ergebnisse auf verschiedenen Ebenen der Politik, der Beratung sowie der Forschung in verschiedene Politik- und Schulungsprogramme implementiert. </div> <div class="ExternalClass48623E2E83FA4737B7134685E4F5C080">Stefan Sieber coordinates the research area Sub-Saharan Africa at the Institute of Socioeconomics, in which the project Trans-SEC is embedded. Frieder Graef of the Institute of Land Use Systems holds the scientific coordination.<br>The objective of the project Trans-SEC is to improve the food situation for the most-vulnerable rural poor population in Tanzania. It is designed to identify successful food securing upgrading strategies and innovations along local and regional food value chains, test and adjust them to site-specific, sustainable settings and tailor these concepts to be disseminated for national outreach.
