If the particles transported are coarse silt or fine sand, saltation will be the prevailing movement. If a large amount of fine silt is present in the transported material, the movement of the PM10 particles by suspension will be relatively important. When saltation is the prevailing process the erosion of the soil will be the main degradation process, but when suspension prevails, air pollution and human health, can be also affected. We suppose that the type of particle movement will be different in the fine textured soils of Argentina and in the coarse textured soils of Germany&#58; saltation should be the most important process in German soils and suspension in Argentina’s soils.
