The project aims to improve the nitrogen management in the intensive Chinese agriculture to reduce nitrogen surplus in arable land use systems. New technologies and innovative agricultural practices together with a guidance of policy and decision makers will optimize the agricultural production and protect the environment. Improvements in nitrogen and water management will be able to optimize China’s agriculture in terms of productivity, cost efficiency, resilience and self-sufficiency, to protect the environment from nitrogen pollution, to decrease global warming and to relieve the energy crisis. The subproject of the ZALF aims to simulate the N cycle on a field scale using a model for N advisory purposes and data from field trials to compare different fertilization strategies and to derive optimal site specific N fertilization schemes. A further step is to prepare a GIS database and link the model to the GIS data to regionalize results from the different sites.
Innovative Stickstoffmanagementtechnologien zur Verbesserung der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion und des Umweltschutzes in der Intensivlandwirtschaft Chinas, Teilprojekt Simulation und Regionalisierung

2008 Entscheidungsunterstützung mittels problemorientierter, GIS-basierter Informationssysteme und integrativer Modelle

BMBF-Verbundprojekte

BMBF Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung

Dr. Marco Rölcke

Prof. Fusuo Zhang

Prof. Jikun Huang

Prof. Rolf Nieder

Prof. Torsten Müller

Prof. Urs Schmidhalter

Prof. Xinping Chen

Prof. Yong Han

Rainer Marggraf
