Stacked Bt genes are discussed to influence microbial communities involved in the decomposition of plant biomass. The project aims to study the impact of the cultivation of transgenic maize with stacked Bt genes on this part of the microflora. With respect to a potentially decreased decomposition, mycotoxin-producing Fusarium species are analysed as well.
