Researchers from the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) played a major role at the Tropentag 2025 conference (September 10-12), hosted by the University of Bonn and the Center for Development Research (ZEF).
The ZALF's participation in the scientific program was extensive, with 27 accepted contributions and 2 panels. The submissions included a series of oral presentations, workshops and poster displays, and several members of the group also acted as session chairs during the event. The research presented by the team was aligned with the central themes of the conference, focusing on topics such as food security, sustainable land management, and rural development.
The scope of the presentations covered a range of interdisciplinary subjects, including analyses of climate change adaptation strategies and the socio-economic dimensions of agricultural value chains. The conference provided a formal setting for the dissemination of recent research findings from the group to an international audience.
The event also served as a platform for scientific exchange with researchers from other institutions and allowed for discussion regarding potential future research collaborations.
