  • ​Development of the systems theory for landscape modeling, development of methods and algorithms (fuzzy, remote sensing)
  • Implementation of scientific software for example the "Spatial Simulation and Modeling Tool" (SAMT)
  • Application of the methods in ZALF projects for example in CULIFO (dispersion modeling of mosquitoes), organization of computer simulations, administration of the computer cluster of the ZALF
