The Institute of Landscape Hydrology investigates physical, chemical and biological processes in soil, groundwater and surface water. The focus is on the following issues:

1. What is the impact of deliberate or unintentional intervention of humans on the water balance?
2. Which role is executed by spatial structures and processes?
3. Which is the effect of  the landscape structure on these processes?
